News Manager – Lincs FM, Compass FM and Rutland Radio

Lincs FM is looking for a News Manager to lead it's team of journalists based in Lincoln.

This position offers a brilliant opportunity to lead the team, producing and creating quality local news bulletins, while also further developing your skills as a news reader and reporter, across Lincolnshire and neighbouring Rutland.

Working to our Director of Programming, you'll work on the biggest stories in this busy news areas. Recently, the team have secured major exclusives, including a Nato trip to Lithuania, coverage of the Newark by-election and serious flooding affecting a wide area.

You'll have a good voice, an interest in current affairs and enjoy meeting new people. You'll also be adept at using social media, will have full knowledge of media law and used to reading bulletins. With a general election looming and a number of local constituencies expected to be hotly contested it will be an exciting year to lead the news team.

Previous managerial experience isn't essential, as full training will be given. An interest in radio is a must, and you will need a full UK driving licence.

Presenter - Lincs FM

Lincs FM, the radio station for Lincolnshire and Newark, has a rare opportunity for a new full-time presenter.

You would be presenting a live show, six days a week, from our Lincoln studios on the areas most listened to local radio station, producing truly local radio to a wide audience, of all ages.

If you prefer only talking for 30 seconds after every three songs then this position isn't for you - we want a talented individual, with the right personality to engage with our audience both on air and off.

If you have creative ideas then that's a bonus and an understanding of the local area would be helpful, though not essential - as long as you have a desire to learn the patch.
