Rutland Radio is the local radio station for Stamford and Rutland, and each local commercial radio station in the UK has requirements in respect of its music and local content, such as news, speech levels etc. These requirements are set out in the station "Format", a document issued by Ofcom, the UK’s radio regulator.

This Public File contains details of the elements that Ofcom regulate, such as music tracks, local news etc. It is intended to give you a better understanding of our output and what we are doing for our local community. It is relevant only to "Rutland Radio” covering Stamford and East Rutland on 97.4 FM, and the Oakham and Uppingham area on 107.2 FM.  The station is also available online via www.rutlandradio.co.uk and via our iphone and android apps.  Rutland Radio serves Stamford & Rutland 24 hours a day.

Operational information
Transmission: Rutland Radio is available on 107.2 and 97.4 FM in Rutland and Stamford, and online via www.rutlandradio.co.uk also via our iphone and android apps

Automation: Live broadcasting begins on weekdays at 6am, 8am on Saturdays and 7.30am on Sundays.
Local production: Rutland Radio is locally produced 24 hours a day except for 3 hours on a Sunday when we carry The Big Top 40 show.

News Bulletin Schedule
Local News bulletins are broadcast Monday to Friday hourly 7am-6pm, with headlines and sport at 6.30, 7.30, 8.30am. At relevant times additional news bulletins may be broadcast. Bulletins between 8pm and 6am are syndicated and provided by IRN.

At weekends Local Bulletins are broadcast from 8am - 1pm.

Local travel information is broadcast between 6am-10am and 3pm-7pm Monday to Friday, weekends hourly between 8.15 and 11.15am, with additional updates throughout the day as and when necessary.

How to Complain
Rutland Radio is part of the Lincs FM Group and operates a complaints procedure which refers all complaints to the Group Director of Programming for investigation and response.
