Edmondthorpe man trials new lung disease treatment

Martin Chesney was diagnosed with COPD 5 years ago

An Edmondthorpe man is undergoing a trial to help his lung disease with the hopes other people will benefit.

Martin Chesney, was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease five years ago, after years of smoking and working in an environment of chemicals.

He's helping researchers to create a urine test which will tell patients when they're about to get a lung attack.

The aim is to eventually roll it out to people with the condition so they can better plan when they can take medication to stop it.
