Fears for Uppingham Hopper after funding challenge

There's fears about the future funding of the Uppingham Hopper service.

Uppingham First will meet this week to discuss the possibility of funding being withdrawn if the government reviews money given to charitable transport groups.

It's after several companies lodged an official complaint with the EU about it being unfair that community groups can run transport services.

There's worries it could mean Voluntary Action Rutland aren't able to repay a proposed loan by Rutland County council to buy a new bus if money's cut.
