Fly tipping falls in Rutland

It reverses the upward trend in recent years

New stats show fly tipping is now falling in Rutland, despite a huge rise in the problem during recent years.

In the year to April the Council spent nearly 20 thousand pounds clearing up over 460 piles of dumped rubbish, that's around 200 extra reports compared to the year before.

Since then the number of callouts has fallen by about 40 per cent since this time last year.
