Lincolnshire County Council agree budget and tax rises

Lincolnshire County Council have passed their budget - meaning council tax will rise by almost 5% across the county.

Councillors voted 54 to 9 in favour of the spending plans for the coming year - which will see millions poured into fixing the roads, while also funding local services.

The council will still have to shave about £36 million off its budget over the next two years.

Its as it deals with a huge drop in central government funding.
