Lincolnshire Police & Crime Commissioner calls for rise in Council Tax

Marc Jones is looking at a 5.8% rise in the amount we pay towards our police force in council tax.

Lincolnshire's Crime Commisioner will put forward proposals to raise council tax.

He says it's in order to protect front line policing.

If plans go ahead - the share of council tax which goes to the force will rise by 5.8 percent and over 5 million pounds will be spent from reserves.

Marc Jones believes the rise will be accepted by homeowners.
