Lincolnshire Police see biggest drop in number of neighbourhood officers

But they argue it doesn't tell the whole story

Lincolnshire police say figures showing the force has seen one of the biggest drops in neighbourhood officers in the country does not tell the full story.

The stats show it has reduced numbers by nearly 60 per cent - a drop of around 150 officers.

But the force says they were redeployed to tackle the changing nature of crime..

Now 28 community managers plus 120 PSCOs will spend more time on the beat.
