Revised plans for St Georges Barracks will mean fewer homes

The Council say they have listened carefully to feedback

Revised plans for the St George's Barracks site will see a maximum of 2,700 homes built on the site.

Previously the proposals had suggested up to 3,500 but they have been down graded following concerns from local people.

Other changes include more green spaces and a full review of transport to see whether changes to junctions or even new roads will be needed.

Leader of Rutland County Council Oliver Hemsley doesn't feel the new development will be out of keeping with the area.
