Rutland County Council to review cold weather plans

A review of the emergency snow operation will take place at Rutland County Council following last week's bad weather.

Over 5 days its gritters drove for around 90 hours, snow ploughs covered about 900 miles of road and over 800 tonnes of salt was used.

Deputy Leader of the Council Nick Begy says the operation went reasonably well, but they still want to tighten up their procedures.
