Rutland named social mobility 'hotspot'

Rutland has been named a social mobility 'hotspot' in a new government report because of the quality of local schools.

It's one of the places in the top 20, which apparently offer more opportunities for young people.

Other parts of the East Midlands including East Northamptonshire are at the other end of the scale.

The Social Mobility Commission says places like that tend to have lower rates of pay, fewer top jobs and longer journeys to work.
