Severn Trent customers in Rutland face bigger bills

The water company Severn Trent has been told it can add more than £38-million to customers' bills for outperforming targets.

The regulator Ofwat says the firm has gone "above and beyond" expectations in things like reducing sewer flooding.

Bills are expected to rise by an average of £2.16 from next year.

Severn Trent handles the water and sewage works of many areas around Rutland. Anglian Water also have responsibility for some homes.
