Stamford AFC are pleased to announce that Rutland Radio will be the new sponsors of the Senior Daniels Cup. The Cup is contested by local clubs around the Stamford & Rutland area from March to May each season.

It comes as part of a move to work more closely with the club and to build on their already strong relationship. 

The Daniels’ supporters will be more than familiar with the sights and sound of Stamford’s local radio station with past live shows from the ground as well as a regular warm up soundtrack provided by Rutland Radio at the start of every home matches.

Rob Wagstaff, Programme Manager at Rutland Radio said: “We are proud to be sponsoring the Senior Daniels Cup as well as taking on the exciting opportunity of becoming the clubs’ Community Partner.

Paul Pepper, Commercial Manager at Stamford AFC commented, we’re delighted that Rutland Radio have agreed to become our new sponsor of the Daniels Cup and more importantly a Community Partner to the Club, They have been working and supporting the 1st team since our move to The Zeeco Stadium 3 years ago.

Their increased involvement with the whole Club now which includes The Young Daniels and SAFC Academy means with their help, we can promote health, exercise and team spirit throughout our various sporting activities which takes place at Borderville Sports Centre. Our activities are open to everyone and does not discriminate in gender, age, or ability. We hope this partnership will help deliver even more success at Borderville to the wider Community of Stamford & Rutland.

The Daniels’ supporters can look forward to hearing the draw for the cup matches on air and being kept up to date with regular future and results info as part of the stations regular sports bulletins.
