Out in Stamford (and Rutland)

SARAH OUTEN - Although I've met the Oakham adventurer many times and interviewed her lots over her four and a half year London 2 London trip which she completed in Nov 2015, last night was the first time I went to one of her talks about it.  An excellent evening, hearing about the people, places, wildlife and challenges which all started when Sarah took to Rutland Water with the Canoe Club as a teenager.  Next Sarah hopes to make a film about the trip, write a children's book following her book Dare 2 Do, and work with schoolchildren bringing camping and the countryside further into their lives.

DOWN YOUR STREET - I'm on Ryhall Rd Stamford later, collecting requests and weekend survey opinions

STAMFORD POETRY STONE - I'll be at St Michael's Churchyard from 4.30 as the current and past Stamford Poet Laureates and schoolchildren celebrate poetry, and good luck to all who this evening are auditioning to be the next Stamford Poet Laureate after Camilla McLean.  The stone will be a place to perform and includes the footprints of the first Poet Laureate Darren Rawnsley

MYSTERY VOICE - worth £310 later with Lydia, it's not Sarah Hadland who plays Stevie on Miranda
