A Jane Hollingsworth recipe

 

Ingredients

  • bottle of red wine
  • tea cup brandy
  • juice 1 lemon
  • tea cup of bramble jam
  • 3/4 lb caster sugar
  • 4 sachets of gelatin

 

Method

  • Break up the gelatin and put into the heated wine. Don't boil but heat until the gelatin has completely dissolved  
  • Warm the bramble jam and sugar and add to heated wine
  • Add brandy and lemon
  • Once all mixed in together, pour into a mould
  • Leave to set

Doesn't always set so don't worry if it doesn't, it's lovely as a sauce over ice cream!
