A Jane Hollingsworth recipe

 

Ingredients

  • 8oz self raising flour
  • 2 oz butter
  • 2 oz sugar
  • Milk 1/4 pint
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch of salt

 

Method

  • Put flour, fat, sugar and salt together
  • Add in egg and milk
  • Mix into a dough
  • Part into dpugh balls
  • Pop in the oven on gas mark 4/180 until browned

 

If you want to be extra fancy glaze with egg and sprinkle with demerara sugar. Serve with double cream and jam.
