Valentine Hot Passion Dessert
How about this for a romantic dessert to serve to your valentine? It certainly is simple to make even for the most inexperienced cook.
1 or 2 Ripe pineapple slices per person, preferably fresh
icing sugar for coating
rum or Malibu to drizzle over
coconut ice cream
1 passion fruit, halved and pulp removed
1. Heat a non-stick pan until hot. Coat the pineapple slices with the icing sugar and place in the hot pan until the pineapple caramelises. Turn the pineapple over and cook on the other side.
2. Place the hot pineapple slices on serving plates, drizzle with the rum or Malibu topped with scoops of ice cream. Serve with the passion fruit on top.
