It's hoped it'll ease the pressure
An international campaign to recruit more GPs in the Rutland and Leicestershire area has resulted in 14 vacancies being filled.
It's hoped the move will reduce costs because fewer locum doctors will be used.
All of the new recruits have undergone training to help them adjust to UK medical practices.
It's thought this initiative plus high numbers of students at local Universities will play a major part in addressing shortages.
