Lincolnshire loses out as Council Tax rises while government cash drops

Lincolnshire County Council will only get a fifth of what is being cut from their budget by the government back by putting up council tax.

Research from the County Councils Network shows that a 1% increase next year won't plug the £11.2 million gap in core funding.

It leaves the authority having to dip into its reserves to fund road repairs, social care and education.
