Man appears in court accused of assaulting police officers in Stamford

The case has now been adjourned until early August

A Peterborough man's appeared in court, charged over an alleged incident in Stamford back in March.

44 year old Nicholas Macbeath, of Monarch Avenue in Fletton, is facing accusations he assaulted two police officers and resisted arrest at a house on Churchill Way.

Yesterday he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court and denied the charges.  The case has been adjourned until early August.
