Storm Ciara causes major problems in Stamford and Rutland

Fallen trees and power cuts were among the problems

The clean up's underway this morning in Stamford and Rutland after Storm Ciara brought widespread problems yesterday.

An amber weather warning was issued for strong winds and driving rain.

A number of roads across the region were affected, with debris scattered across them.

Rutland County Council cleared around a dozen trees that had been brought down.

There were also power cuts in parts of the area.

Roof tiles were reported to have fallen off in both Stamford and Oakham.

Some of the worst affected routes included the road between Exton to Tickencote, as well as the A 6-00-3 near Preston and A6121 Fosters Bridge near Ketton.
