Loose chippings and frost

RUTLAND ROADS – we’ve had a few comments from listeners about the latest series of road resurfacing in the county, especially the work on the Oakham bypass from Saturday, where there are still speed restrictions due to loose chippings.  Was the bypass that worn it needed work?  There’s also work between Morcott and Wing and on Branston Road Uppingham today, Morcott continues tomorrow.

NEW RUTLAND HIGH SHERIFF – is Craig Mitchell from Barrowden, who is fundraising for Warning Zone, Dove Cottage hospice at Ridlington and the Rutland Air Ambulance through his year in office.  He was recommended and asked if he’d like to do the role 3 ½ years ago.  He was also on to talk about the Hue & Cry returning on the late May Bank Holiday Monday to Oakham High Street – I wonder if the roadworks will be clear by then?  Last I heard was June.

WEATHER - a frosty start this morning, and we even had some snow in Rutland at lunchtime, although it didn't settle

SARAH OUTEN – giving a talk at Stamford Arts Centre tonight, there’s still a few tickets left if you fancy it.  Despite having interviewed Sarah many times, I’ve never heard her whole talk so I’m looking forward to tonight.  Starts 7.30pm.

MYSTERY VOICE – on £300, it’s not Kayleigh from CarShare, actress Sian Gibson.  Play again with David after 5pm

DOWN YOUR STREET – tomorrow afternoon look out for me on Ryhall Road Stamford
