We spoke a lot about pubs that changed their names this morning, following the reopening of the Periwig in Stamford, which has gone back to a name used in the early 1900s when it was a wine and spirit merchants. Now known again as Paten & Co (you may also remember it being called the Marsh Harrier). Had lots mentioned this morning:

Also, I'm a Celebrity - there's no way I'd walk the plank on that crane that launched the show, yet bugs would be fine. What would you not do, no matter the money?
SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND - 98% said it was fine for their partner to read their texts and emails, just 2% said no, they're private!
SCHOOLTALK - Lewis from St Gilberts Stamford is giving us clues this week at 7.40am
STAMFORD CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL ON SUNDAY - I'll be in Red Lion Square with a stage and a full programme of acts from a puppet show to a Handful of Harmonies, and Chloe & Giovanni from 10am till 5pm, lots of stalls in town, a stage at the bottom of Ironmonger Street, and Santa's Grotto with the Lions on Broad Street with the Stamford Lions. He'll then make his way down to help switch on the lights as the Primary Schools sing after 4pm.
SANTA ON TOUR - starting on 2nd Dec with the Stamford Kiwanis, after an appearance in Red Lion Square on Sunday afternoon
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE SUMMER - the theme of the Stamford Festival of Floats has been announced. 'Serving The Community', and it's hoped the RAF will be in the parade in their centenary. It's likely to be the last Saturday in June 2018.
WHO WAS IN STAMFORD OVER THE WEEKEND? Regular visitor Kirstie Allsopp, who was seen in town, and also visited Burghley House, she's good friends with the Rock family. The Persani family also popped along coincidentally, but we didn't cross paths!
THE CHILDREN IN NEED ROCK - we found it and re-hid it, first under the Stamford Christmas tree (which we then found out was against the rules, under a tree) so I went out to move it to All Saints & St John's Centre, where one of the Scouts found it and re-hid it. The idea was to donate to Children In Need as you passed it on, which we did. Sadly Pudsey was a big rock which got knocked after this, and suffered a big crack on the side of his head, not the bandage side. Hope he's still being passed around.
