WOW - ICONS OF THE 80'S! I've been lucky enough to host several concerts at Burghley House with Live Promotions, and this was just fabulous! All three acts were great - Carol Decker and T'Pau opened the night, and Nik Kershaw and Go West joined forces through most of the night, singing each other's songs, as well as giving great performances themselves. The Stamford based Anna's Hope fairies collected nearly £4000 to help children and young people across the East of England with brain tumours.

OAKHAM HIGH STREET - £3m could be spent from Rutland County Council reserves on giving the High Street a face lift next year. After the major electricity and water work in town, the Council's contractors measured traffic flow and parking during the one way system and have come up with 2 proposals, both retaining most of the parking spaces (albeit spread differently along) with more paving, a 20mph limit and new market place. Option A is one way (towards Mill Street) and Option B retains two way traffic.
KETTON BROWNIES - are in desperate need of a leader, following a recent appeal. Rainbows are fine, as are Guides, but the 7-10 year gap needs filling. It's hoped they can return after a summer break in September.
