Charlie turned to radio when leaving behind an all female gymnasium which she ran in Berkshire, for the sunny climates of Brunei in South East Asia with her family. With a background of Journalism, marketing and then more recently gymnasium running she first took to the air waves with the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS).
In between presenting a very popular breakfast show for the armed forces around the world, and frequenting many Asian beauty salons, she managed to fit in plenty of holidays on the other side of the world making the most of her travel opportunities. Significant memories include climbing Mount Kinabulu and meeting Greenback turtles. From SE Asia Charlie moved back to Europe where she continued to work as a presenter for BFBS in Germany.
Charlie has now firmly rooted herself in Lincoln where she now lives with her family. When Charlie is not on the radio she can be seen dragging herself around the running routes of Lincolnshire’s charity runs or attending the many country shows. Charlie’s other passion of horses has also had to take a back seat through her travels, but hopes to rectify that in the future.
