Rachel grew up in Bourne and is a "Brunnian", which she's been told is the official name for Bourne Grammar School alumni. She's lived all over the world, though despite living in the USA as a child she still can't successfully do the accent. (Think Madonna after a glass of wine).
Rachel can't cook to save her life, try as she might. She once exploded a microwave with savoury rice, and her cake icing has the consistency of cottage cheese.
